Shephelah and Culture Night

For our fieldtrip this week, we went to Shephelah (the lowlands of Israel). Out of all the facts and things we talked about, I enjoyed the story of David and Goliath the most. Brother Seeley talked about how each of us will one day face our Goliath. Now is the time to prepare to meet our Goliath, so we can be prepared to face him with courage and conquer Him through Christ. Some of you may be facing your Goliath right now. Be strong and of a good courage! You can do all things with Christ’s help!

We had an Arab culture night on Thursday. It was so much fun! Two of the Sikhs that pray at the Al-Aqsa mosque came and demonstrated how they recite the Qur’an and how they recite the call to prayer. It was really cool, because we hear the call to prayer 5 times a day (and that includes bright an early as the sun is coming up around 4:30-5:00 AM).Then we had delicious Arabic food, followed by Arabic dancing! It was a blast!!!
